New Product News from Gulden
Ophthalmics. Gulden’s New Diplopia Testers
Employing LED Technology Offer Long, Reliable Life and Ease of Use.
ELKINS PARK, PA -- Gulden Ophthalmics has
developed two new
Diplopia Testers utilizing advanced LED technology. The convenient, easy to
use handheld testers utilize three bright white LEDs that never need replacing.
Because there are no lamp filaments to burnout and the units are based on rugged
glass-free construction, the testers are extremely reliable and will provide
years of operation.
The Worth
Four Dot tests adult patients with the standard four-color diplopia test
dots. The Three
Character tests has been developed for testing younger children who cannot
name colors and for patients with color perception difficulties. Each tester
is accompanied with red/green anaglyph spectacles.
In addition to their long, reliable life, the bright white
LEDs provide consistent standard brightness, beneficial when comparing a patient’s
multiple test results over time. Because the LEDs use less energy than filament-type
lamps, batteries last considerably longer. Although the units are constructed
of hard, durable plastic, the testers are lightweight and virtually unbreakable,
making them a very good value.
Each “kit” is provided with the tester, two size
D batteries, the red/green spectacles, and instructions.
