Gulden Ophthalmics new Neutral Density Bar (ND Bar). The ND Bar uses the 6 standard ND levels most useful for quantify afferent pupillary defects.
This compact device easily fits in a shirt or clinic jacket pocket and the "Prism Bar" format makes quantifying afferent pupillary defects a simple task.
The ND Bar is used in conjunction with the "Swinging Flashlight" test to detect and quantify the depth of any afferent conduction defect.
The 0.3 ND filter is most useful for uncovering a borderline pupil defect.
The six filters are rated as 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8 log unit optical density values.
The overall bar is 16.5 cm long and 3 cm high. Each filter measures 2.5 by 3 cm and is made of high grade, optically clear plastic.
