The Schiotz tonometer is a precision instrument for the measurement/monitoring of intraocular pressure and the detection of glaucoma. Through proper use and service, the Schiotz tonometer is still the most versatile and least expensive instrument on the market both to purchase and maintain. Gulden Ophthalmics' technicians have been repairing/servicing/certifying Schiotz tonometers for the U.S. since 1951 and are still actively involved in all aspects of this instrument. Service includes complete analyzation and correction of all discrepancies conforming to the standards of the Committee on Standardization of Tonometers of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
A copy of the latest approved chart is furnished with each instrument serviced. There is a basic service charge plus cost of necessary repairs. Quotation will be sent if extensive repairs are necessary. Pack well and send complete instrument with all WEIGHTS and TEST BLOCK for calibration. Certified tonometers are available for rental during service.
