The
Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test is the newest version of two
popular color deficiency tests. To evaluate color confusions
a small set of colors are used in the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test. Large differences in color
of adjacent caps in the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test evaluate major color confusions.
Confusion lines for a given type of color defective connect
various pairs of Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test sample colors, causing patients
with severe color deficiencies to make arrangement errors
on their Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test.
Unique to the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test is the clever design of the
plastic box in which the caps are housed. The Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test design provides a quick and
easy method to remove and replace the caps. When the lid
is removed on the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test, the side removes also. The
caps all slide out of the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test in a random order with just
the push of a finger. When the patient replaces the caps,
the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test box is closed. Then the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test is turned over to reveal a
transparent plastic bottom. This allows the numbers on
the bottom of the caps to be in clear view on the bottom
of the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test facilitating quick and accurate
scoring of the caps.
The Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test is designed to correctly
identify all (congenital and acquired) color deficiencies,
no matter how slight. A score sheet is enclosed with
the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test to represent the order of
the patient's arrangement of the caps, with respect
to their correct sequence around the color circle.
Many color deficient persons have reasonably good signal
light discrimination that cannot be detected with the Farnsworth
D-15 Color Vision Test., therefore Gulden also provides
the Farnsworth
Lantern Test Flashlight. The Farnsworth Lantern
Test Flashlight often enables the qualification of these
individuals. The original Farnsworth Lantern Test device
has long since stopped being manufactured and more modern
equivalents are quite expensive for the limited usage
they see in a typical optometrists office. The Farnsworth
Lantern Test Flashlight is an accurate, inexpensive
substitute for the original Farnsworth Lantern Test.
This Farnsworth
Lantern Flashlight Test uses nine interchangeable
filters that recreate the chromaticity of the original
Farnsworth Lantern Test.
