Gulden Ophthalmics has manufactured Medical Eye
Shields since 1950. Gulden Ophthalmics has been the Medical
Eye Shields OEM of such companies as Bausch and Lomb and Katena
for many years. When an eye undergoes surgery it becomes necessary
to protect the eye during the healing process. Medical Eye Shields
are used after surgery to protect the eye and hold dressings
in place. Medical Eye Shields are made of clear shatterproof
plastic in a universal shape for use over either eye. Holes
in the Medical Eye Shields provide ventilation. Adult and children's
sizes of Medical Eye Shields are available.
Medical Eye Shields are precision made of polymethylmethacrylate;
a hard, clear plastic that is lightweight, inert and virtually
unbreakable.
The Medical Eye Shields are available in sterilized, surgery-ready
packaging.
The
Lasik
Eye Guard form of Medical Eye Shields is designed for the
patient's healing following bilateral LASIK - or refractive
- eye surgery. Using the Lasik
Eye Guard form of Medical Eye Shields, the patient's eyes
are protected post-operatively, primarily at night from accidental
eye contact or rubbing.
The exterior of these Medical Eye Shields are
made of a soft vinyl material with an adjustable, elastic strap
to hold the guards in place. The lens and frames of these Medical
Eye Shields have venting holes, permitting air exchange that
prevents fogging. Assuring a comfortable fit of these Medical
Eye Shields, the edges that contact the skin around the eye's
orbit is extremely soft foam. The Lasik
Eye Guard form of Medical Eye Shields are sold in packages
of ten (10) and a logo can be imprinted with orders of ten (10)
packs and above.
The Gel Medical Eye Shields form of the
Gel
Eye Shield Mask should be used to protect any soft tissue
during healing to reduce swelling. A clear advantage of using
the Gel
Eye Shield form of the Gel Eye Masks, following a procedure,
is the elimination of gauze used between the Medical Eye Shields
and the incision, which prevents the gauze sticking to the
healing area.
Put the Gel Medical Eye Shields in the refrigerator for a
few hours then place the Gel Medical Eye Shields on the
eye(s)
for Tired Eyes, Headache Pain, Sunburn, and face or eye treatments.
Put the Gel Medical Eye Shields in a pan of hot water then
place the Gel Medical Eye Shields on the eye(s) for Headache,
Sinus Pain, Allergy Discomforts, or Head Colds.
