Ophthalmic Surgical Instruments by Gulden Ophthalmics

Gulden Ophthalmics goal is to be a leading ophthalmic surgical instruments manufacturer through a well-established national and international distributor network, providing the vision care industry with ophthalmic surgical instruments and services of the highest quality.

Gulden Ophthalmics, formerly R. O. Gulden Company, a manufacturer of ophthalmic surgical instruments, was founded in 1938 and has remained a family run business. One of R. O. Gulden's first ophthalmic instruments, the diagnostic Prism Bar, was jointly developed and patented with Dr. Conrad Berens of New York, along with many other Gulden ophthalmic surgical instruments. Today, the grandson of Mr. Gulden, who continues to remain faithful to the quality reputation, is operating the business and name recognition associated with the Gulden Company ophthalmic surgical instruments.

In the national arena, Gulden has been a reliable manufacturer of ophthalmic surgical instruments in excess of fifty years. Internationally, our first foreign distributorship of ophthalmic surgical instruments was established in 1953. Currently, we retain all of our original customers and have established long-term relationships with a broad range of distributors of ophthalmic surgical instruments in America. Some clients of our ophthalmic surgical instruments include: Katena, Lombart, Topcon, and Wilson Ophthalmics. Internationally, Gulden continues to grow in foreign markets for ophthalmic surgical instruments, especially those in South America, Europe and the Far East. To this end, the Region III, U.S. Small Business Administration Office, has recognized Gulden as the "1994 Eastern Pennsylvania Exporter of the Year".

Gulden intends to expand the promotion of its long history of quality ophthalmic surgical instruments, as well as that of its single source suppliers, through an aggressive, "High Profile," advertising campaign. Efforts are being dedicated to better utilizing and expanding Gulden's distributor network of ophthalmic surgical instruments, both nationally and internationally. Finally, Gulden intends to be a prominent player in the ophthalmic surgical instruments industry through the introduction of new times saving innovative ophthalmic surgical instruments.

Since 1938, Gulden Ophthalmics has designed and manufactured timesaving ophthalmic surgical instruments to be marketed through our extensive national and international network of distributors. We have used the ideas and concepts of many ophthalmic professionals to develop new ophthalmic surgical instruments for the industry. Gulden is constantly in search of health-care professions to form partnerships in the development of new ophthalmic surgical instruments to simplify or speed procedures and tests in vision related (and other) areas.

Our services will include: ophthalmic surgical instruments research, marketing research, ophthalmic surgical instruments design, rapid prototypes of ophthalmic surgical instruments, manufacture of ophthalmic surgical instruments, advertising, and marketing of ophthalmic surgical instruments. Contact us with your suggestions for new ophthalmic surgical instruments.

Gulden ophthalmic surgical instruments are of the highest quality and are proudly made in the United States. We adhere to the precepts of, and were registered by, ISO 9002 and the European Union "CE" Mark.
